Finding a hole in your plot is like finding a hole in your knitted jumper

When you find a hole, it’s no good trying to disguise it by just pushing the threads in. People may not notice it for a while, but then it will start to fray. And it will only get worse.

The unravelling will spread, the hole will get larger and begin to effect the entire structure. And the longer you leave it, just hoping it will disappear, the bigger the repair job will finally be.

You can’t fix a hole by ignoring it. And picking at it will only make it worse.

Where’s that sewing basket?

So, we’re now at this point in the countdown to Camp NaNoWriMo and today I suddenly spotted a whopping great big massive plot hole. Uh oh.

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.

I sometimes wonder how much reading Dr Seuss as a child has impacted who I am as an adult.

Most days I think it’s probably quite a lot.
